Profound Candela
Profound is a radiofrequency micro-needling treatment used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face. This can help lift sagging jowls and decrease the appearance of fine line around the mouth. It increases the production of collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin in the face, resulting in a smoother and more youthful appearance of the skin on the face. Usually, only one treatment is needed, and results can be seen within the next few weeks but the final results can take up to six months. The results from profound are long-lasting.

Fraxel Laser
Fraxel is a fractional laser treatment that resurfaces the skin. Fraxel is a non-ablative fractionated laser that stimulates collagen growth in the skin resulting in a healthy glow, smoother texture, and improved appearance. The laser energy produces a wound healing response without injuring the skin surface, allowing for a faster recovery time, typically 1-3 days. It is a non-invasive treatment with minimal downtime after the procedure. Fraxel uses lasers to penetrate into the skin, helping the body remodel its collagen and encouraging the growth of new skin cells. Fraxel can be used to get rid of hyperpigmentation, acne scars, wrinkles, sun spots, and improves the tone and texture of the skin overall.
Differences can be seen with a single treatment, though 3 to 5 treatment sessions, performed 2 weeks to a month apart, are recommended for optimal results. Results will continue to develop over the next 3 to 6 months as new skin cells are produced and can last for up to several years, depending on the age and skin condition of each patient.
A typical treatment session lasts about 20 to 25 minutes. Patients describe feeling an increased amount of heat on the face during treatment, but it is not painful.
Topical anesthesia is applied to numb the face prior to treatment to help minimize discomfort during the procedure. Swelling and redness may happen a few days after treatment. Skin peeling, itching, and dryness are other side effects.
After treatment, and at SPF 30 (or higher) should be worn daily, and direct sunlight should be avoided for at least 3 months after the procedures.
Fraxel laser is similar to microneedling in its effectiveness. Both treatments deliver a noticeable improvement in skin tone and texture. However, because microneedling does not penetrate the deep layers of the skin, it is better suited to mild skin problems, and the results are typically less dramatic than Fraxel.
Botox
Botox is used to temporarily remove the appearance of wrinkles. This procedure prevents the muscles on the face from moving, thus reducing the appearance of wrinkles on the skin. The procedure is not permanent, and should be touched up regularly every three months for the best results.
Botox can also be used medically to treat conditions such as migraines and muscular disorders. It can also be used to treat excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis, caused by various diagnoses. The injection paralyzes the sweat glands, thus reducing sweating in targeted areas.

Dermal Fillers
Wrinkles and lines are caused because the skin loses its elasticity as we age, thus allowing the face to develop a long-term sagging appearance. Wrinkles can occur around the corners of the nose, lips and mouth, and in other facial areas. Dermal filler treatments use synthetic fillers composed of hyaluronic acid or collagen to replace lost volume in problem areas.
At a certain point in your life, you will begin to notice fine lines and wrinkles. As time goes on, they are harder to camouflage. Instead of trying to hide them, it is best to try and reduce the appearance of them. This is where dermal fillers can be beneficial.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is a procedure for hair removal on various parts of the body, commonly used on the legs, arms, face, and bikini area. This procedure targets the hair follicles, making the hair unable to grow back. The results are permanent, and can be a good option for those who are tired of waxing or shaving unwanted hair on the body. The laser is adjusted depending on the skin and hair color of the patient. All lasers are not suitable for all skin types. This should be determined prior to treatment. There are specific lasers for hair removal that can treat darker skin and tan skin. For most patients, laser hair removal results are permanent after a few treatment sessions. This depends on the darkness and density of the hair of the patient. It is recommended to repeat treatments every four to six weeks until the hair stops growing.
Often, five to six treatments are needed. If hair does grow back years later, it will not be as dense as it was prior to treatment.

After the procedure, the skin may feel as though it has been sunburned. Other side effects can include redness, scarring, and swelling. The skin may also be red after the procedure. Permanent scarring is extremely rare.
Spider Vein Treatment
Spider veins are small clusters or purple, blue, or red veins that can be seen on the legs. These can be hereditary, or results of large changes to the body such as pregnancy or fluctuation in weight. Or, can be a result of spending large amounts of time sitting or standing without moving. Spider veins are treated by lasers or injections with a sclerosing agent.
Compression stockings and normal elevation of the feet can be used for prevention, and to stabilize veins that are already present, but spider veins usually do not go away on their own. Most of the time, cosmetic intervention is needed for them to disappear fully.
The cost of treatment varies from patient to patient, depending on the number of treatments needed and the treatment methods.
Glycolic Peel
A glycolic peel is a chemical peel treatment that smooths the skin by removing the outer layers of the skin, which can be rough and hold on to damage. Glycolic peels are made from fruit acids and are gentle enough to be used on all skin types. This treatment can help with wrinkles, acne, scarring, and skin discoloration.
A thin layer of the glycolic peel is applied to the face and left for a period of time. This varies by skin type and the needs of each patient.
The strength of the treatment varies by the needs of each patient.
Some side effects of the procedure include redness and burning, which usually go away fairly quickly. If you have sensitive skin or fair skin, these side effects are more common. Sensitivity to the sun after the procedure is another side effect. Wearing a good sun block regularly after receiving a glycolic peel is advised.
Dermabrasion
Dermabrasion is the sanding of the skin. It allows a new layer of skin to be seen, making the skin smoother. This procedure is often used for deep acne scars or stretch marks. This is more suitable for fair skin, as darker skin can scar more easily, and dermabrasion can be somewhat harsh on the skin. Microdermabrasion is a procedure more suitable for dark skin.
Microdermabrasion is a procedure where small crystals are sprayed on the skin. This procedure is gentler than dermabrasion, which results in a faster recovery time. This procedure is often used to reduce the appearance of acne scars or smaller brown spots.
The skin normally recovers in about twenty-four hours. Microdermabrasion is more suitable for dark skin than dermabrasion, as it is a gentler procedure, and less likely to result in scarring. Microdermabrasion is not as aggressive as dermabrasion.
Sublime (previously known as Refirme)
Sublime helps reverse the signs of aging with minimal downtime. Bi-polar radiofrequency and light energies are used to stimulate collagen production in the skin. An increase in collagen production will help the skin appear more youthful. Multiple treatments are needed because there is a cumulative effect that gradually improves the skin. The total number of treatments depends on the condition of the skin. Often, four to six treatments are needed for optimal results.
The treatment does not cause discomfort. No downtime is necessary. Elos technology can be used on all skin types. Treatments are commonly used in areas such as around the eyes, brow lines, neck and cheeks. Results can vary depending on the amount of skin laxity and over all condition of the skin.

Hyaluronic acid is a substance that the body naturally produces that adds volume to the skin. Calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse) is another common type of filler. Many types of fillers include lidocaine in the injections, to help numb the area and increase the comfort of the procedure. Bellafill and Sculptra are other types of fillers that are commonly used.
The cost of fillers varies by the brand of filler and the amount needed for the specific procedure and patient and how long the filler lasts. Usually, they are priced by the syringe, from half a syringe and up. Anywhere from half a syringe to two syringes is typically used. Slightly Crooked LipsI had a lip flip procedure done in the 90s and I have scaring on the inside area of my lips. I was never fully satisfied and seemed to have bad results. The bottom lip didn’t change and I had uneven crooked look to them when looked at closely. Lipstick hid it well. However, I have been unhappy with them for a very long time. I’m a former lifestyle model from California and look forward to being a mature model for products in the future. My previous photographer hated what I had done to myself and requested I get it corrected. I’d prefer a permanent fix. But for now it’s Temporary. Below are my after shots. Day of injections. Fairly easy procedure. I was numbed up good beforehand.

Love Dr. Hardaway
She is awesome. I went in with no idea what needs to be done to get myself to look better. My cheeks looked droopy as I aged and didn’t know what to do to fix it. She took a good look at me and decided to fix me up. I got bellafill done and 2 years later, I still look 10 years younger. She did such a perfect job that I couldn’t have sculpted for myself. Love her bedside manners snd the staff is wonderful too.

Fillers FAQs
What are the side effects of dermal fillers?
Temporary swelling, redness, and bruising around the injection sites are the most common side effects of dermal fillers. Slight movement of the filler is another side effect, but can be avoided by taking proper care of the injection areas. Following the doctor’s instructions closely for procedural aftercare will yield the best results.
How are dermal filler injections performed?
A topical numbing cream is applied to the skin to numb the procedure area. Sometimes, numbing injections are used as well. Filler injections feel similar to a flu shot you would receive at the doctor’s office. After the procedure is complete, you will need to ice the procedure area. Over the counter pain medication such as Tylenol or Advil is recommended after the numbness from the procedure wears off if needed.
Who is a good candidate for fillers?
You may not be eligible for fillers if you have any skin allergies or allergies to mediations, or bleeding disorders. You may not be eligible for certain fillers if you have any allergies to the ingredients of the filler. Let Dr. Hardaway and her staff know if you have any allergies to any medications or numbing agents such as lidocaine during your consultation. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is best to wait until you are done to receive any cosmetic procedures.
What are Injections to enhance the jawline?

These are fillers, injected into or around the jawline to help enhance the contour and appearance. Dr. Hardaway performs all of these services at her office.
